Narrative
SPRINGBROOK, WI – A 77-year-old man died Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash involving a log truck in east-central Washburn County.
The incident happened around 10:46 a.m. at the intersection of 710th Street and 240th Avenue in the city of Springbrook.
Police say that the driver of a southbound SUV neglected to heed a stop sign, entered the path of an eastbound log truck, and was struck.
The driver of the SUV, identified as Wayne Myers, died at the scene of the collision.
The driver of the log truck did not sustain injuries.
