Narrative
JANESVILLE, WI – Two-people died Saturday in a two-vehicle accident caused by an impaired driver in central Rock County.
The crash happened around 2:14 a.m. at East Delavan Drive and Beloit Avenue, just south of Jeffris Park in the city of Janesville.
Police say that an alleged DUI driver neglected to stop at a red light and collided with a northbound vehicle carrying two people in the intersection.
The two occupants of the northbound vehicle died in the accident. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
Police arrested 32-year-old Koty Diaz, the driver that caused the crash, on charges that include DUI and homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
