Narrative
FREDONIA, WI – Injuries have been reported in a major accident involving an SUV and a school bus in north-central Ozaukee County on Monday.
The collision occurred before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Jay Road and County Road E, which is on the northwestern side of Fredonia.
Police say that the driver of an eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee failed to heed a stop sign and crashed into a northbound Random Lake school bus carrying 36 students.
Medics transported both drivers and a passenger from the Jeep to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Multiple students also sustained injuries, though it’s unclear how many required hospitalization.
