Narrative
TOMAHAWK, WI – A 78-year-old man died on Wednesday after his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle along a highway in Tomahawk.
The incident happened around 1:28 p.m. on US-8 near Rapel Road, which is just north of Clear Lake.
Police say that the victim’s vehicle was headed eastbound on US-8 when, for unknown reasons, he veered into the westbound lane and crashed into a utility work truck carrying three people.
The force of the collision caused the work truck to overturn and land in a ditch. The occupants of the truck sustained only minor injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man who died.
A full investigation is underway.
