NEW GLARUS, WI – A 52-year-old man died Thursday in a two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler in north-central Green County.
Emergency teams reported to Highway 69 just north of Valley View Road in New Glarus around 4:05 p.m. This is just east of New Glarus Woods State Park.
Police say that a southbound pickup truck collided with the rear of a semi-truck along the highway. The latter vehicle had slowed to make a turn.
The unrestrained driver of the pickup truck died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
Drivers experienced delays along Highway 69 while crews worked to clear the scene.
