Narrative
BRIDGEPORT, WI – A 35-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in southwestern Crawford County last Friday.
The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. at US-17 and Vineyard Road in the city of Bridgeport.
Police say that a southbound motorcycle collided with a car when the latter vehicle turned left from Vineyard Road onto US-18.
The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist, identified as Russell Bessel, from his bike.
Medics transported Bessel to the hospital with serious injuries, while the other driver was unhurt.
A full investigation is underway.
