Narrative
ALMENA, WI – A 26-year-old man sustained injuries Sunday in a fiery two-vehicle collision in west-central Barron County.
The incident occurred in the evening at the intersection of County Road P and 17th Avenue on the far northeastern outskirts of Almena. This is about 12 miles west of Barron.
Police say that two pickup trucks collided on County Road P when one the drivers entered the wrong-side of the roadway. One of the trucks then ignited after overturning.
The driver of the truck that caught fire, later identified as Oscar Ledesma, went to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The other driver did not sustain injuries in the collision.
