Narrative
ST. CROIX CO., WI – A 39-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on icy roads in north-central St. Croix County.
The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. along WI-64 west of 170th Street. This is south of Stanton and northeast of New Richmond.
Police say that slick road conditions caused the driver of a westbound sedan to lose control of his vehicle and enter the eastbound side of WI-64. An eastbound SUV then struck the car.
The driver of the sedan, identified as Jeremiah Green, died at the scene.
Medics transported the 46-year-old driver of the SUV to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
