One person was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 12 and the Wisconsin River in Sauk City after 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 1st. Dane County officials said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 hit a sign, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into the Wisconsin river. The man escaped his car and was aided by first responders. The 50-year-old man was hospitalized for severe injuries and is expected to survive.
