RUBICON, WI (DODGE COUNTY) – A woman riding as a passenger on a motorcycle died after she was struck by a camper van on State Highway 60 this weekend, according to information from NBC 15.
The collision happened on Hwy 60 on Sunday at around 3:45 p.m., after the 26-year-old operator of a westbound motorcycle performed a U-turn to pick up a dropped object. The motorcycle then collided with a camper van headed eastbound. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn.
The passenger on the motorcycle, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to Hartford Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver received minor wounds in the collision.
The driver of the camper van was not hurt in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
